Some people are happy with their lives, while others despise it.  Some people are content with their lives, while others are always wanting more.  Some people embrace life, and others ignore it.  I pretended to be happy for a very long time.  But I am done acting.  I am ready to truly be happy with my life.  I have made alot of changes in the last half year, and although they have come with a price, they have also made me a happier, stronger, better person.  I have embraced the things I truly enjoy, such as reading, learning, knowledge, and exploration.  My decision to be myself has cost me alot of friends and social networks, but I am content with that.  I am comfortable with the fact that I don't need people in my life who don't respect my choices, or love me for who I am.  I am caring.  I am thoughtful.  I am intellectual.  I love to go out and have a good time, but I am done letting that control my life.  I've had a hard time meeting people who share my beliefs and attitudes, partly because I am worried about not being accepted, but also because I'm not sure where to look.  But I have high hopes :) So…. leave me a message if you've got the time!

I'm a student studying Speech Language Pathology.  I want to make someone's life better and more comfortable.  I want to help them communicate what they really want to say.  But what I really want is to make a difference.  I want to change someones life.  I want to do something big, something that I can feel great about when I look back at my life. 

I'm planning on study abroad in Australia come February 2009.  I am so freaking excited about it!!  I'm taking almost all cultural classes and indigenous classes, because I find the Aboriginal cultures fascinating.  How have they managed to survive so long and so well, while other mainstream societies always perish?  I guess hunter-gathering is the way to go.  (We'll find out in time I suppose…)  I hope my experience abroad will help me have a wider more global sense of self and human nature.  I want to soak up as much as I can, and plan on traveling as much as possible, too. 

So to sum me up, I am on a path to finding the best me.  I want to live my life, laugh whenever possible, and love all with my entire heart.
